Course Description
Industrial and machinery-related emergencies present unique challenges that require specialized rescue techniques and a thorough understanding of equipment hazards. Man vs. Machine from Junk Yard Dog Extrication Training is designed to prepare firefighters, rescue personnel, and emergency responders to safely manage incidents involving victims trapped in industrial, agricultural, and commercial machinery.
This course examines machinery entrapment hazards, scene size-up, lockout/tagout principles, patient assessment, disentanglement strategies, stabilization techniques, and specialized rescue tools. Students will learn how to identify hazards, coordinate with facility personnel, and develop safe and effective rescue plans while minimizing risks to both rescuers and victims.
